Guitar Hero III Tournament Structure & Rules (PS2/X360)
Prior to the beginning of the tournament, all participants will play a randomly selected song on Expert for seeding purposes.
1st Round Winners/Losers Bracket (Best 2 out of 3)
Gametype: Pro-Faceoff
Difficulty: Expert
Set list: (The 6 random songs used for the 1st round will be picked randomly in front of all contestants prior to the start of the tournament. For the sake of time, lengthy songs will be purposely left out from the drawing (ex: Through the Fire and the Flames).

Other Rules
1. Hyperspeed must be agreed upon by both competing participants. Any disagreement will be resolved by allowing participants to play on separate screens.
2. A player is only allowed to pick a song once for the duration of the tournament. That song may be picked AGAINST them any number of times, and it may also be RANDOMLY drawn against them any number of times, but they may only PICK it once. This is to ensure the fairness of the tournament.
3. Guitar modifications and/or hacks (with the exception of the rubber band whammy bar mod for broken whammies) are prohibited.
4. Any serious trash talking or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in a disqualification (DQ) from the round.
5. If there is a game disc error, guitar malfunction, or spectator interference during the course of a song, the song will be restarted, regardless of who was winning prior to the disruption.
6. Any pausing during the game that could disrupt or interfere with note streak and/or multipliers will result in a disqualification (DQ) from the current song.
7. Interference between two competing players will result in a disqualification (DQ) of the instigator from the current song.
8. If you are not present within 5 minutes of your time to compete, you forfeit for the round.
9. Dont choke.
