I need opinions, like if you guys think it will actually work. Because you think it won't, then I'm not even gonna bother.

The goal: To get MODS at the Official Guitar Hero Forum through ANY MEANS NECESSARY. The fake accounts, Stairwaytoheaven (who actually might be the fake accounts), and the errors are pissing me off.

Step one: Already done. I've tried to recruit some of us. Danny's in, Agenew's in, Jakey's a pansy, Gear never responded. If you some of you want to help, then that's school.

Step two: In progress. I left a thread called "ATTN: Cinder" to try and get his attention. Some of you should try to PM him, too.

Step three: Spam the hell out of the forums to get SOMEONE'S attention.

As I said, it's been called off. Somebody showed up and got rid of the annoying people/threads, so everything's cool now.

yes, that was me. However, in response:

1. My official comment belongs here, since it's the thread about the subject.

2. Everyone would see it.

3. The idea that I would trust any of you is obsurd.

EDIT: As for Dave's question, there will supposedly be a dedicated RedOctane Community Manager to do it full time.

None of us here are up for consideration (in all likelihood). Most of us here have been too crazy over there, and I can understand that. A lot of us are probably on very thin ice over there. So even asking for stuff like that is out of the question for most of us.

Hell, I'm probably a lot closer to being banned than a lot of you after my "spam the forums!" shenanigans (not to mention the other little thing).

As to Dave, I'm not really sure about you. Truthfully, I can't remember who you are on the other forums.

yeah, I mean I was considered because I modded pre-GH Harmonix games, and I had to be a good contributor for a year before that even, this is September 2002.

The notion of giving moderation rights to kids that just show up, cause trouble, and then have a weeklong bout with maturity is crazy.

But then when you say no, they go right back to causing trouble, as they would have with mod rights anyways.

Also, let me spell this out again. I DID attept to get more mods, many, many times, RedOctane has stated they don't want outside users as mods, bottom line, my hands are tied, I'm not "not getting new mods", "hoarding power".

Miseducation is a horrific thing.

that's pretty crazy. this is the first "experience" i've had with modding or admining or anything. i do what i can, but there isn't much to watch out for.

how exactly did lupine become a mod? that pissed everybody off. he showed up to complain and was a mod like a week later.

I understand your point now. I guess I must have missed it the first time when you mentioned that whole bit about the mod thing.

EDIT: And to clarify again, the spam thing will not happen from me now. You came, cleared up the mess, and that's all I really wanted. I was just a little more tense that day from being caught in the mess all that time.
