Most of this forum is obsessed with cacophony.. why?

Um.... it seems most everyone on the forum has some kind of obsession with them and Im just not seeing why lol

I've been a fan of cacophony since BEFORE the gh forum.

THey have two of the three best guitarists ever. (the other being stevie ray vaughan)

Here is my Standpoint:

I have attempted on numerous occasions to listen to their music. It may be that the main people that listen to it also like Metallica and Iron Maiden, 2 bands that I have throughly not enjoyed. But, in any case, I still do not enjoy them.

HOWEVER:

It has been stated that their music is "Neo-Classical". If I were an extremely good professional guitarist, I'm not going to lie, that's the type of music I would show off with. There is a lot of talent there, just not the talent I enjoy.

Heh...You're funny. If I recall one or both of them can't even read music. Besides, John Petrucci and Vai would beat them any day. I know for fact they're proper musicians, they're alumni to Berklee as for Becker and Friedman, well they just learned to sit down and figure things out. Besides, Petrucci and Vai play better anyways.
