If they made an 80s Guitar Hero, they'll make an 80s Rock Band

The 1970s:
Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
Feeling That Way/Anytime - Journey
Something About You - Boston
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
We Are the Champions - Queen
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

The 1980s:
Every Rose Has Its Thorn - Poison
Home Sweet Home - Mötley Crüe
I Remember You - Skid Row
Love Bites - Def Leppard
Never Say Goodbye - Bon Jovi
Still Loving You - Scorpions
Take it on the Road - REO Speedwagon

The 1990s:
Black - Pearl Jam
Creep - Stone Temple Pilots
Disarm - The Smashing Pumpkins
Glycerine - Bush
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day
Heartbreak Station - Cinderella
How's It Going to Be - Third Eye Blind
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing - Aerosmith
Lightning Crashes - Live
Mama, I'm Coming Home - Ozzy Osbourne
My Hero - Foo Fighters
Rooster - Alice in Chains
Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Unforgiven II - Metallica
Voodoo - Godsmack

The 2000s:
Aerials - System of a Down
Blurry - Puddle of Mudd
Fall to Pieces - Velvet Revolver
Hanging by a Moment - Lifehouse
Hemorrhage (In My Hands) - Fuel
Here without You - 3 Doors Down
How You Remind Me - Nickelback
I Miss You - Blink-182
My Immortal - Evanescence
My Sacrifice - Creed
Never Too Late - Three Days Grace
Shadow of the Day - Linkin Park
Through Glass - Stone Sour

Peace out! Comment!

Are you Kidding!?!?!

Power Ballad page on Wikipedia wrote:
Power ballads originated in the 1970s with power pop band The Raspberries and arena rock bands like Styx, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Def Leppard, Queen, and heavy metal pioneers Scorpions.

They began power ballads. They ARE power ballads.

I'm pretty sure it was 1977...

It was within the 70's for sure though, it that's the time period you're looking for.
