There will be 2 individual Tournaments.
The beginner tournament will be for players ages 10 and under which will be played on easy mode and advance to medium mode for the final playoff.
You may only enter ONE tournament. For example a 10 year old cannot enter the beginner tournament and the advanced tournament.
All songs in both tournaments will be played on pro face off mode.
Beginner Tournament will be limited to 16 entries. So please arrive early. Entry fee will be $10.00 for Beginner Tournament. If 16 entries are not filled then byes will be given.
The Beginner Tournament will be a single elimination style tournament with a consolation bracket for the losers. First round is randomly set.
The beginner tournament final round will consist of 2 songs using the total score of both determine the winner.
The beginner tournament final songs will be randomly chosen.
In the event of a tie a third song will be played and the highest score wins.
The top 3 in beginner tournament winner bracket will receive a prize.
The top 1 in beginner tournament loser bracket will receive a prize.
The advanced tournament will be for advanced players of all ages which will start on hard mode with the final playoff on expert mode.
Advanced Tournament will be limited to 64 entries. So please arrive early. Entry fee will be $10.00 for Advanced Tournament. If 64 entries are not filled then byes will be given.
We will use a standard bracket style of play, with the first round bracket randomly determined.
The Advanced Tournament will be single elimination.
The final round will consist of 3 songs using the total score of all 3 to determine the winner.
In the event of a tie an additional randomly chosen song will be played and the highest score wins.
The four fourth round losers will also compete for a winner from loser bracket.
In the final playoff each player may choose a song and one song will be randomly chosen.
The top 3 in advanced tournament winner bracket will receive a prize.
The top 1 in advanced tournament loser bracket will receive a prize.
There will also be random drawings for prizes and give a ways.
The finishing touch to the tournament will be a Freebird play off between the beginner tournament winner and the advanced tournament winner the winner will be awarded a bonus prize.
We will probably be extending the time frame of the tournament to allow some children from The Christmas Box International to play Guitar Hero II for a bit and show them some of Guitar Hero III.
We're also donating 100% of the profit to the Ogden, Utah Christmas Box House.
Prizes will be Guitar Hero III Packages for PS2, Skins, T-Shirts, Play N Trade Gift Cards and more.
